Classes consist of 4-6 students and an instructor unless marked otherwise.  We look forward to seeing you.

Beginning Knitting pt.1 of 2

Learn to cast-on and knit. If time permits we will begin purling

Sept. 13th

Moebius Scarf

Learn how to create this multi-purpose scarf made famous by Cat Bordhi. Students will cast-on their own Moebius to be finished at home and instructions given on how to bind off.

Beginning Knitting pt.2 of 2

This class will focus on purling and combining knit and purl stitches for texture. We will finish by learning to bind-off.

Sept. 20th

Intro to Lace – Hemlock Ring Blanket pt.1 of 2

Jared Flood’s alteration of a doily pattern. This pattern is a great introduction to lace knitting that only uses 600+ yards of worsted weight yarn. Prior experience knitting in the round is useful but not required.

Advanced Beginner – Hat

Students will develop the following skills:  Knitting in the round, reading written and charted patterns, increasing & decreasing, and combining stitches.

Sept. 27th

Intermediate Knitting – Felted Bag pt.1 of 2

Choose from a 1940’s clutch or satchel pattern.

$30 includes pt.1&2

Intermediate Knitting – First Socks pt.1 of 2

For students comfortable with knitting and purling and are ready for something more … Learn to knit socks from the cuff down using double-pointed needles. Prior experience knitting in the round is useful but not required.

Mittens for the Family

Great first mitten project! Just pick your size and you’re on your way…

Oct. 25th

Intro to Double-Knitting

Students will knit a potholder using this technique to create a reversible, multi-color pattern. This is a quick and easy introduction to color work as both sides are constructed at the same time. If you can knit and purl, you can Double-Knit.

Cast-on Mania

Learn a variety of cast-on techniques including but not limited to: Knitted, Long-tail, Backward loop, Provisional, Norwegian, Tubular, ChannelIsland, and more.

Special Classes

 

Choose Your Own Project - By appt. Sat and Sunday Only

$25 plus supplies per 1 1/2 hour session. 

This one on one session is for knitters who can knit and purl and are ready to start something new and a bit more challenging but would like guidance along the way, from pattern and yarn advice to finishing techniques.  This is a great way to learn a new technique and build your confidence.
